I met Jeanette many years ago when she was just out of high school. I was running lights and she was handling the duties stage right in a community theatre play that also featured her as an etherial ballet dancer. I was struck at the time that she seemed to have no sense that she was. Pretty much anywhere she went, Jeanette was the most beautiful woman in the room. Years later Jeanette and my much younger daughter became Shakespeare BFFs. Over the years I’ve gotten to know and respect her for being the most unassuming and delightful person you will meet.
Jeanette and Michael played opposite each other in a performance of Over the River and Through the Woods and the chemistry was obvious, although it took them a little while to figure that out.
When I found out they were getting married I immediately reserved that date on my calendar. Jeanette, being the modest person she is didn’t want to imposed and only finally accepted my offer to shoot her wedding about a month before it happened. I knew she would eventually get back to me so I had kept the September date open. I’m glad I did. It’s really fun to shoot a wedding for people who are actors.
