Workshops

I regularly offer classes and workshops. Classes at all levels are available for groups of ten or more, photography clubs, and schools by arrangement. I also offer advanced classes for groups as small as 4 students. Email for details.

February 4 (Saturday), 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m with an hour break for lunch.
PHOTOSHOP FOR COMPLETE BEGINNERS I will be using Photoshop Elements 10 to show new Photoshop users how to work with files, basic tools, file sizes, resolutions and organizing. Laptops are welcome.

February 18 (Saturday), 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m with an hour break for lunch.
PHOTOSHOP: LAYERS 101 I will be using Photoshop CS-5 to teach the power and capabilities of Photoshop’s Layers including masking, effects, adjustments, multiple image HDR, and single image HDR from Raw files. The same tools are in recent versions of Elements so full Photoshop is not required. Laptops are welcome.

March 10 (Saturday), 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m with an hour break for lunch.
PHOTOSHOP: SELECTING and RETOUCHING I will be using Photoshop CS-5, but most of the same tools are in Elements. We will learn how to make selections to isolate areas of an image. Then we will use cloning, bluring and healing tools and techniques to clean up and perfect images. Laptops are welcome.

LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY – TWO DAYS IN GLEN ARBOR
